Flowers have opened petals wide,
Stars have gone away to hide,
Pussy is sleeping on the stool,
It’s time to go to school.

Daisies are closing each yellow eye,
Stars peep out from the blue sky,
Come little people, day is done,
Now it’s bedtime for everyone.

My Jack

My Jack in the box, curled up small
None knows he is there at all.
But if you gently lift the top
Up he will pop with a hop, hop, hop.

My Jack in the box,
Falls flop, flop, flop
When I close the lid,
With a plop, plop, plop.

Five little peas
In a peapod pressed;
One grew, two grew
And so did all the rest.
They grew and grew
And did not stop;
Until one day
The peapod popped.

Flying-man, Flying-man,
Up in the sky,
Where are you going to,
Flying so high?
Over the mountains,
And over the sea,
Flying-man, Flying-man,
Can’t you take me?

Seven Black Birds

Seven black birds in a tree,
Count them and see,
what they may be.
One for sorrow,
Two for joy;
Three for a girl,
Four for a boy;
Five for silver,
Six for gold;
Seven for a secret,
never to be told.
